How We Can Help

I’m an expert in trauma therapy for adults, that is relational trauma recovery that specifically supports adult children of the mood- and personality-disordered to help them effectively heal and move forward from traumatic pasts towards empowerment, no matter where they started from.

I graduated from Michigan State University’s James Madison College, specializing in International Relations. I later attended Georgia State University College of Law and practiced law for approximately 20 years. As an attorney, I enjoyed working one-on-one with people, and
I found myself drawn to my client’s personal stories. After many years in law, I decided that a career as a therapist was my true passion. I went back to school at the University of Georgia. I have a master’s degree in social work and am currently practicing psychotherapy under the supervision of Kurt Youngberg in my own private practice. Since beginning my career I have had the opportunity to attend many excellent trainings including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, and more.

I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the most essential features in healing from trauma. I am committed to providing a safe, caring, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment in which we work together, at your pace, to help you achieve your goals for healing.
